Gecko Garden Rooms

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all garden room design, supply, and installation services provided by Gecko Garden Rooms. By accepting a quotation and paying the deposit, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotations and Acceptance

• All quotations provided by Gecko Garden Rooms are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

• A quotation becomes a confirmed order once the customer has accepted the quotation in writing and paid the required deposit.

• Any changes to the agreed design, specification, materials, or installation requirements may result in additional costs and possible changes to the completion date.

3. Payment Terms

The payment schedule for all garden room projects is as follows:

25% Deposit Payment

• A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and allow Gecko Garden Rooms to begin design, planning, ordering of materials, and scheduling of works.

• Work will not commence until the deposit has been received.

50% Commencement Payment

• A further 50% payment is required when installation works commence on site.

• This payment covers materials, labour, and construction costs required during the build phase.

25% Completion Payment

• The remaining 25% balance is payable upon completion of the garden room installation and once the agreed works have been completed.

• The final payment must be made before the project is considered fully complete.

4. Cancellation Policy

• Deposits are used to cover design work, administration, material orders, and preparation costs and may be non-refundable once work has commenced or materials have been purchased.

• Any cancellation requests must be made in writing.

• Gecko Garden Rooms reserves the right to recover costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.

5. Installation and Construction

• Gecko Garden Rooms will complete works with reasonable care, skill, and professionalism.

• Installation dates are agreed in advance; however, delays caused by weather, supplier issues, site conditions, or circumstances outside of our control may affect completion times.

• The customer must ensure clear and safe access to the installation area before work begins.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

• Providing accurate information regarding the property and proposed installation location.

• Ensuring access to the site, including access to electricity and water where required.

• Obtaining any necessary permissions, including planning permission or building regulations approval where applicable, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Changes to Design or Specification

• Any requested changes after acceptance of the quotation must be agreed in writing.

• Additional work, materials, or labour required due to changes will be charged separately.

8. Materials and Workmanship

• Gecko Garden Rooms uses quality materials suitable for outdoor structures.

• Natural materials such as timber may vary in colour, grain, and appearance due to their natural characteristics.

• Minor variations in materials and finishes may occur and will not be considered defects.

9. Warranty

• Gecko Garden Rooms provides a warranty covering workmanship and installation defects, subject to fair wear and tear and correct customer maintenance.

• Manufacturer warranties may apply to specific products and materials used.

10. Site Conditions

• Gecko Garden Rooms cannot be held responsible for unforeseen ground conditions, underground services, drainage issues, or access limitations discovered after work begins.

• Any additional works required due to unforeseen conditions will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.

11. Completion and Handover

• Upon completion, the customer will inspect the finished garden room.

• Any outstanding issues will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.

• Final payment remains due as stated in these Terms and Conditions.

12. Liability

• Gecko Garden Rooms will not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

• The customer is responsible for ensuring the garden room is used appropriately and maintained correctly.

13. Privacy

Customer information will be handled responsibly and only used for the purposes of providing quotations, completing projects, and maintaining customer service records in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

14. Agreement

By accepting a quotation and making payment, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
